REGISTER

The Jamboree attendance fee for the iGEM 2018 Giant Jamboree is $795 per team attendee for on-site registration (including students, instructors, and advisors).

Details

  • All iGEM teams who wish to present at the Giant Jamboree must register by the regular registration deadline.
  • All iGEM team members are welcome to attend, including students, instructors, professors, and advisors.
  • Guests are welcome to register up until the late registration deadline.
  • Onsite registration will be available at the late registration price on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • All Jamboree attendees must register and wear their badge at all times. Only confirmed registrants will receive badges.

Registration for the iGEM 2018 Giant Jamboree is now on-site. During the Giant Jamboree, please go to the registration area on the 2nd Floor of the Hynes Convention Center and register at the available kiosks.

All iGEM teams must register and pay to attend the Giant Jamboree by the regular registration deadline.
By registering to attend, you secure your team presentation slot and poster slot at the Giant Jamboree. If your team does not register to attend, we will assume that you will not be attending the Giant Jamboree and your team will not receive an assignment.

All team attendees must register for Giant Jamboree, including students and instructors. Payment of Giant Jamboree attendance fees must be received by iGEM Headquarters by the deadline stated above.

General Public

General public attendees, including family and friends, are welcome to attend the iGEM Giant Jamboree, on a space available basis. All guests must register and pay the Jamboree attendance fees. Entrance to all Jamboree events is dependent on space availability. Preference is given to iGEM team members, team instructors, team affiliates, followed by general public.

What's Included

Your Jamboree registration fee includes a team presentation slot, a team poster location, side events, a social event, and the awards ceremony. The registration will also cover refreshments during breaks and poster sessions, as well as lunches.

** Note: day-passes do not include refreshments, lunch, or admission to social events.

REFUND POLICY

Refunds for cancellations received in writing on or before August 31 will be granted less a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be granted after that date. No refunds will be given for portions of the registration not being used. All refunds will be made in US dollars and will be processed in the manner in which the original payment was submitted, with the possible exception of wire payments which, at the organizers' discretion, may be refunded via check. If a refund is made via wire transfer, any bank fees will be deducted from the refund. Credit card refunds will be issued to the card that was used to make the original payment.

iGEM is not responsible for cancellations or the inability of an individual to travel due to weather, threat of terrorism, act of God, and other events beyond iGEM's control.

If you encounter a credit card error, it is usually one of these two issues: 1) personal credit cards often reject international payments - please call the credit card company to inform them you will be making a payment to the US, or 2) institutional credit cards often have per-transaction limits - please make partial payments of $1000 or less until the full balance has been paid.

It is recommended that you send your check payment via a traceable delivery method, such as Fedex or DHL, to ensure successful delivery.

Be sure to confirm the bank account information is correct before proceeding with the wire transfer.

INVOICES

An invoice will be available upon completion of the iGEM 2018 Giant Jamboree attendance form at the registration website, Regonline. To request an invoice at a later date, return to Regonline, enter the email address previously used to complete the form and click on 'View or Change your Existing Registration' and log in with the email address and password previously used to complete the form. From there you will be able to access a copy of your invoice.
