var Helen = "Hey there! What’s up? Let me introduce myself, I’m Helen, vice-president of this year’s iGEM team and a Pharmacy student who likes to explore the world and create stuff. I am an absolute sucker for innovation, which is mainly the reason why I joined the Utrecht iGEM team. As it combines creativity with science and technology. Three disciplines I believe in strongly and am very passionate about. I am honored to work with skilled, knowledgeable and kind peers and tutors. var Pim = "Hi, my name is Pim and I’m a currently finishing up my last year of the bachelor Biology. Beyond the lab work, I’ll be part of the duo that takes care of our funding. It’s a role that covers exactly what I’m interested in: creating value with inventive synthetic biology. I especially like that iGEM allows enterprising students to apply the knowledge they’ve gathered in these goal-oriented projects, while constantly challenging themselves. These factors are why I’m very excited for the work and results the coming months will yield!";

var Franca = "Hi! =) I am Franca, 20 years old, and a third-year bachelor student in Biomedical Sciences at Utrecht University. I heard about iGEM during one of my lectures, and I was immediately convinced to apply to be a member of the iGEM 2018 team Utrecht! The idea that you start from scratch and try something which has never been done before, really intrigues me. Furthermore the experience of working in a multidisciplinary group of students and supervisors with crazy ideas and creative minds is really a special experience, something you do not really have during your bachelor. I am the secretary of the group which means I keep an eye on the agenda, take meeting notes, and cooperate with the team captain and co-captain. Fun facts about me: in my free time I like to play badminton, participate in sports group lessons such as body pump and Step&~~amp;~~Shape, and have drinks with friends! I also studied in Australia for half a year where my love for travelling (i.e. Hong Kong + Dubai) was born.";

var Jolijn = "Hi, I am Jolijn, a 21-year-old Molecular Life Sciences bachelor student. Ever since I was little, I really liked to solve puzzles and problems. Finding the solution to the mysterious murders in the game Cluedo was one of my favorite activities. While iGEM essentially is all about solving a problem using genetic engineering, two of my greater interests are combined: problem solving and genetic engineering. I’m very excited to be part of our creative top team and I very much look forward to contribute to a major achievement";

var Khadija = "Hi, my name is Khadija and I am almost finished with my BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Utrecht University. 21 years ago I was born in Amsterdam and in the future I want to be an industrial pharmacist. For me, iGEM is the opportunity to connect with people with other backgrounds and gather new insights in (approaching) science. I also like the fact that we can come with everything we think of and make our own plan. Our team needs funding to reach our goals, so I will assure our team of the funding together with Pim. In my spare time, I like to relax with Netflix on my screen or to explore new places. I’m looking forward to see where this journey will lead us. (Next to Boston)";
