By using inducer to trigger bacterial expression of the N-terminal domain of GasderminD protein, bacteria can be led to lysis and release this protein into the cytoplasm of tumor cell and then induce pyroptosis to the cell by making membrane pores. Along with this process, the released cytokines such as IL-1β attract immune cells to fight the tumor cell. Our project which aims to induce pyroptosis to tumor cells provides a new approach for cancer therapy.</p> |
