Join us at The iGEM 2018 Giant Jamboree
Giant Jamboree Schedule Announcement
With 340 teams this year, the iGEM Competition is bigger than ever! Due to the growing interest, we are excited to announce that the 2018 Giant Jamboree will be returned to our regular 4-Day program to accommodate so many amazing teams. Thursday, October 25 will now begin with the Opening Ceremony, followed by team presentations and posters. Just as in previous years, this schedule will have three full days of presentations, poster sessions, and workshops, so that everyone can make the most of their Jamboree experience.
Important Changes and Information
- Wednesday, October 24: Registration Opens and Audio / Visual Check for teams begin at 4pm (see details below!)
- Thursday, October 25: Opening Ceremony followed by Presentations, Poster Sessions, Workshops, and Special Events
- Sunday, October 28: Closing Ceremony, Keynote Speakers and Celebration Social
- Monday, October 29: Industry tours, After iGEM workshops, University tours and more activities around Boston
- The Giant Jamboree Registration fee will remain the same!

Audio / Visual Checks
In order to accommodate everyone, we invite all teams to participate in an official audio / visual (A/V) check after you register and check in on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Each team will be able to check their presentation room, make sure that your presentation works as expected, and meet your fellow teams! Additional information for the A/V check will be announced later this season, so stay tuned to our Newsletters and the 2018 Main Page for more details.

The culminating event of the iGEM 2018 competition season, the Giant Jamboree offers 4 days of information sharing, project competition and celebration of team achievements in synthetic biology. Celebrate all you have achieved after the Closing Ceremony and join the party with everyone at our Social Event planned on Sunday night!

Join your fellow iGEMers on Monday for special events co-hosted by iGEM! We’ll have industry tours arranged with Boston area companies, as well as tours set up at various universities. There will also be discounted tickets available for various site seeing activities around the city. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the Giant Jamboree.
