iGEM EPFL 2018

Sponsors

Swiss Industry Science Fund (SISF)

The Swiss Industry Science Fund (SISF) promotes scientific excellence in research and education in Switzerland, within the scope of its member companies.
They graciously provided CHF 9000 financial support for research and experimentation during our iGEM project.

Nikon

For advancing bioscience and medical development through providing solutions for solving problems in the bioscience and medical fields, Nikon supports various fields globally such as advanced research, early development of regenerative medicine and retinal diagnostic imaging for prevention, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis management.

We thank them for their funding of CHF 3000 for our project research.

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT)

IDT has been helping iGEM teams push the boundaries of synthetic biology for six years. IDT is once again graciously extending their FREE custom DNA offer to iGEM teams, offering 20 kb of DNA as gBlocks® Gene Fragments and Alt-R® CRISPR Genome Editing products free of charge to each iGEM 2018 team!

We’re extremely grateful for their contributions in making CAPOEIRA successful.

Arbor Biosciences

Arbor Biosciences identifies with the hard work, passion and heart that all participating students put into their iGEM projects. By connecting with young professionals training to be the next generation of scientists and innovators, we recognize their commitment to improve and develop the scientific world.

We are grateful for their support by providing our team with versatile myTXTL® Cell-Free Expression Kits. We thank them for making CAPOEIRA successful.

Microsynth

Microsynth (the Swiss DNA company) is a leading European company in the area of nucleic acid synthesis & analysis.

We are grateful for their contribution to CAPOEIRA by supplying CHF 1000 credits that we mostly used for sequencing and microRNA.

Promega

With a portfolio of more than 4,000 products covering the fields of genomics, protein analysis and expression, cellular analysis, drug discovery and genetic identity, Promega is a global leader in providing innovative solutions and technical support to life scientists in academic, industrial and government settings.

Promega graciously provided us with credit of CHF1000 that allowed us to purchase RNA-Transcription Kit, Mini-Prep Kits and much more that we needed for the project.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a secure cloud services platform, offering compute power, database storage, content delivery and other functionality to help businesses scale and grow.

We were gracious to receive $700 worth of credit as a research grant for a year, in addition we would continue to receive technical support during the project.

New England BioLabs (NEB)

NEB is a proud sponsor of iGEM teams. Over the years, NEB has supported many iGEM teams with donated materials and scientific guidance. We are grateful for their continuous support to iGEM teams this year as well.

NEB supplied us with a BioBrick® Assembly Kit, as well as products that were useful in our wet-lab experiments. We are extremely grateful for their support.

Asana

The easiest way to manage team projects and tasks. Asana gives you everything you need to stay in sync, hit deadlines, and reach your goals.

We thank Asana for allowing us a subscription during the project that allowed us to stay on track with deadlines during the project.
