Judging

World Health Organization of the United Nations

GM foods currently available on the international market have passed safety assessments and are not likely to present risks for human health. In addition, no effects on human health have been shown as a result of the consumption of such foods by the general population in the countries where they have been approved.

Meet the requirements

Bronze

✔ Register for iGEM, have a great summer, and plan to attend the Giant Jamboree.

✔ Successfully showed our project on the Team Wiki page.

✔ In collaboration with the IGEM team from Xiamen University, they helped detect the number and growth curve of Lactococcus lactis in yogurt

✔ The Lactococcus lactis in the experiment was added to yogurt.
The project has the following advantages:

  1. select lactic acid bacteria is a food grade strain, which can be eaten directly.
  2. a lactic acid bacteria capable of expressing Sam and GSH simultaneously was constructed.
  3. mproved Lactococcus survival time in intestinal tract and improved colonization ability. It also plays a protective role in the intestinal tract of probiotics.
  4. can be eaten with yogurt.
