DID YOU KNOW? Every year, hundreds of thousands of horseshoe crabs are caught each year and drained of up to to 30% of their blood. Why? To collect LAL, a chemical that is crucial in the detection of endotoxins in everything from drugs to medical equipment.
Project Outline
iTesla-SoundBio InterLab Study
Summary: For the 2018 InterLab study, high school students at iTesla-SoundBio prepared various colonies and dilutions to test for trends absorbance, fluorescence, and concentration. Massive thanks to the Washington iGEM InterLab team for guiding us through the protocol and lending us their plate readers. Below, is the timeline that we followed in completing the InterLab protocol.

Standard Tracks: Participate in the Interlab Measurement Study and/or obtain new, high quality experimental characterization data for an existing BioBrick Part or Device and enter this information on that part's Main Page in the Registry. The part that you are characterizing must NOT be from a 2018 part number range.
For teams participating in the InterLab study , all work must be shown on this page.
