Summer Mediterranean Meet Up

Description: We will organise a mini-jamboree. Each team will expose and debate its iGEM project. Afterwards, we will take you on a tour to show our home city, Marseille.

Latin America Meetup
Dates: August 1-2, 2018
Location: Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Monterrey, Monterrey, Mexico
Description: Meetup for the 2018 Latin-American iGEM teams, hosted by iGEM Tec de Monterrey. The main purpose of this meetup is to promote team cooperation and strengthen the iGEM community by spending time together and sharing fun experiences. The different activities include project presentations, workshops, collaborations in human practices and a tour of the city, among others.

6th Asia Pacific International Genetically Engineered Machine Conference

Description: To establish a platform in which iGEMers can communicate, collaborate and exchange ideas. This conference also serves as a warm-up for the upcoming 2018 iGEM Giant Jamboree.

iGEM Eurasian meet-up 2018
Dates: July 24-26, 2018
Location: Shenzhen, China
Description: Are you curious, adventurous and up for something special this summer? Then join the iGEM teams of BGI College and TU Delft in the very first iGEM Eurasian meetup this upcoming July in Shenzhen! For three days BGI College will not only provide you guys with an exotic location and TU Delft with delicious meals but also workshops, interesting presentations and the ultimate opportunity for getting to know a new culture and people from all over the world! It will be an opportunity to share your ideas, meet new people from a different continent and get your project to an even higher level. As a special feature, we also give the opportunity to connect with other iGEM overgraduate, undergraduate and high school teams even before the meet-up!
This meet-up is co-organized by the TU Delft (the Netherlands) and BGI college (China).

European Meetup in Munich
Dates: July 21-22, 2018
Location: City centre of Munich, Germany
Description: The European meetup is from the 21.07 till 22.07 hosted in Munich. The symposium is starting with different speakers from the field of synthetic biology. Additionally there will be poster sessions with all the attending iGEM teams. In the evening there will also room for group activities to get some extra iGEM bonding. Additional there is the possibility to join the Synthetic Biology III 2018 conference after our meetup, to meet leading scientist of field of synthetic biology.

UK iGEM Meetup
Dates: July 12-13, 2018
Location: Oxford, UK
Description: Organised by SynBio.UK and hosted by SynBio.Oxford, the aim of the meetup event is to inspire, educate, and connect this year’s UK iGEM teams. We will have talks and workshops from iGEM alumni, as well as leading SynBio academics, startups, and thinkers, including Piers Millett, the Director of Safety and Security at iGEM.

4th Annual Parisian Meetup

Description: Pasteur Paris iGEM team will host the 4th annual Parisian Meetup inside our institute. Every team participating will be given the chance to present their project in front of a jury composed of various professionals. This year we will also schedule round tables about bioethics and how regulations may be a restraint to innovation.

German iGEM Meetup
Dates: June 22-24, 2018
Location: Marburg
Description: The German iGEM MeetUp will take place together with the After iGEM Meetup from the 22.06-24.06.2018 in Marburg. There will be poster sessions in which we invite you to participate with your teams project, multiple speakers and possibilities to get to know the current and previous iGEM participants. Co-organizers are iGEM Bielefeld and GASB (German Association for Synthetic Biology).

Nordic iGEM Conference
Dates: June 8-10, 2018
Location: Lund, Sweden
Description: The purpose of the conference is primarily to strengthen the ties between Nordic iGEM teams and their respective universities. A mini-jamboree event will take place where teams get to present and get feedback by judges in life sciences and scientific communication. There will also be workshops, lectures, sightseeing and networking activities. Finally, the conference is wrapped up with a final gala dinner announcing the winners.
