Education and Public engagement

Public engagement is a major part of the French national strategy to reduce, replace and re-think the use of antibiotics. To thrill and entertain the public, we developed an original virtual reality game. To our knowledge, this is the first VR experience to be created by an iGEM team. More than 100 people in Paris and London experienced our game and we collected data about how the experience affected their views. To inform and educate the public, we published our story in Le Figaro, a major national newspaper in France. This was made possible by collaborations we built with researchers, policymakers and data journalists during our human practice work.
