6th Asia Pacific International Genetically Engineered Machine Conference

Dates: July 30 - August 3, 2018

Location: National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan

Description: To establish a platform in which iGEMers can communicate, collaborate and exchange ideas. This conference also serves as a warm-up for the upcoming 2018 iGEM Giant Jamboree.

iGEM Eurasian meet-up 2018

Dates: July 24-26, 2018

Location: Shenzhen, China

Description: The 1st EurAsian meetup will take place this summer; let's make a connection!

It will be an opportunity to share your ideas, meet new people from a different continent and get your project to an even higher level. As a special feature, we also give the opportunity to connect with other iGEM overgraduate, undergraduate and high school teams even before the meet-up! More information on this will follow soon.

This meet-up is co-organized by the TU Delft (the Netherlands) and BGI college (China).

European Meetup in Munich

Dates: July 21-22, 2018

Location: City centre of Munich, Germany

Description: The European meetup is from the 21.07 till 22.07 hosted in Munich. The symposium is starting with different speakers from the field of synthetic biology. Additionally there will be poster sessions with all the attending iGEM teams. In the evening there will also room for group activities to get some extra iGEM bonding. Additional there is the possibility to join the Synthetic Biology III 2018 conference after our meetup, to meet leading scientist of field of synthetic biology.

UK iGEM Meetup

Dates: July 12-13, 2018

Location: Oxford, UK

Description: Organised by SynBio.UK and hosted by SynBio.Oxford, the aim of the meetup event is to inspire, educate, and connect this year’s UK iGEM teams. We will have talks and workshops from iGEM alumni, as well as leading SynBio academics, startups, and thinkers, including Piers Millett, the Director of Safety and Security at iGEM.

6th Annual BioBrick Tutorial at DTU

Dates: April 13-15, 2018

Location: Technical University of Denmark (DTU) Lyngby, Denmark

Description: DTU will host the 6th Annual BioBrick Tutorial April 13-15. The workshop is a combination of hands-on BioBrick assembly tutorial in the lab, presentations, and a chance to get to know each other.

iGEM Japan Kansai Forum

Dates: March 10, 2018

Location: Kyoto University

Description: Japanese iGEM teams get together in Kyoto, and each team have a presentation about their provisional project and their team management. After that, we exchange opinions and give some advice to each other.
