Collaborations
Tecnológico de Monterrey
A first contact with the Mexican team was over Skype. They are going after water pollution, a critical environmental problem affecting megadiverse ecosystems and many communities close to the natural and polluted water sources. To help, we provided them with water samples from all over France so they can analyze them with several techniques in order to make a valuable overview.
For their end of the deal, the team agreed to help us in filling out a survey in Mexico regarding the use of GMOs and Beauveria bassiana to fight bed bugs infestations in their homes.
Postcard exchange program
By team Düsseldorf
For the second year in a row, we took part in the postcard exchange program organized by team Düsseldorf next to 39 other teams from all over the world. Each team should come up with a postcard design and send 100 copies to the organizing team so they can equally distribute them. Representing our home cities, describing our projects and coming up with creative designs: an all-in-all interesting experience and iGEM aspect.
Looking forward to meeting all the teams in Boston.
Language project
The Chinese team OUC-China created a comic book where it describes microbiology aspects to the non-scientific community. They needed us to translate the book into our native language (French). We jumped on board this interesting educational project, where the team sent us the English script of the comic book and we translated it into French.
We were more than happy to take part in one of the largest educational worldwide collaborations.
