Bioremediation of Sour Crude Oil Waste using Cyanobacteria




Subculture of Cyanobacteria
  1. 1. Resuspend and take 200μL of cyanobacteria from the old solution of BG11-media
  2. 2. Place into fresh 50 mL BG11-media
  3. 3. Leave it under continuous illumination and shaking on the shaker at room temperature in the hood
  4. 4. Check OD at 750nm
    1. Preparation of BG11-media Stock solutions for BG-11:
       A) Stock 1:

      Na2MG EDTA0.1g/liter
      NFerric ammonium citrate0.6g/liter
      NCitric acid . 1H2O0.6g/liter
      NCaCl2 . 2H2O3.6g/liter
      Filter sterilize into a sterile bottle or autoclave
