The beginning of our project for this year was in February, in a meeting with the members of 2017 and the presence of new students interested in integrate the team for 2018. In the following meetings we decided the project and their name: QS-Comms. In July we started the development of the project in the laboratory, but the development of the other areas of the project like human pratices, modelling and funding had begun arround May.
The name, visual identity and wiki design was done by the members of team USP-Brazil. All the process was really wonderful for our personal development, we learned a lot of things about synthetic biology, programming and moddeling with all the people who helped us in this journey.
QS-Comms was only possible because the help of the PI professor, the sponsors and all the people who gave us support, advice and motivation in the project development this year.
Principal Investigators (PI)
We are really grateful for all the support who the Prof. Gisele Monteiro and the Prof. Shaker Chuck Farah gave to us. Both Pis contributed with the bureaucratics questions related to funding, laboratory space, reagents and equipements time. The ideia of the project was proposed by the students and don't present any connection with the research being conducted in either laboratories. Nevertheless, both professors helped us with theorectical advice about the stages of the project.
Instructor and Advisor
Both advisor and instructor had a big importance in the development of the project. Gabriel Lovate was our instructor and he helped us with the design of the parts and project assemble, we are really glad for the help wath he gave to us. Henrique Pellin Biasoto was our advisor and helped so much in the laboratory experiments, he gave important advices about microbiology, molecular biology and he was really helpful in the conduction of the experiments.
Special Thanks
We want to express gratitude for all the people who helped us in this wonderful journey. The QS-Comms project was only able to exist because the help of many researchers, teachers and friends who gave us advice with the project, wiki, logo, visual identity, reagents, helped us with financial support from our university and many others aspects of the project development. The team thanks all of them:
