CIEI-BJ hosted a summer meet up for team interaction

At the early stage of our project preparation, when we have just decided our project’s goal, our team-CIEI-BJ-has invited team BIT-China, team BFSUICC-China, team USTBeijing and team The Colorful Ladies together to exchange ideas and have a discussion at the University of Science and Technology Beijing. We also invited a journalist from China Science and Technology Daily came and recorded the events and interviewed some team members. As the host, we are honored to have team mentors and professional instructors pointing out our advantages and weaknesses to be improved.

During the meeting, we listened to the presentation by team BIT-China about “who can get an A” at first. Then, it is team BFSUICC-China to share about their topic, biological toolkit for lead detection. Team The Colorful Ladies, showed us their project which discuss about treatment of diseases related to LPL. Finally, team CIEI-BJ from ITCCC, as the main organizer, talked about our project which is detection and degradation of aflatoxin.

Thanks for the help provided by team USTBeijing, we can become a better us. They gave us lots of useful suggestions when we are coming up with the design and protocol of our experiments. We received help from them in further steps of our project later and we continued to discuss our problems with them. Them were glad to help and we got to know what they are doing and gave help as long as we can.

We received lots of valuable suggestions from team mentor of BFSUICC-China, Mrs. Du Hongmei, and our advisors have also gave advice to other teams to help their improvement. From the communication, we have gained precious experience and we became more confident about what we are doing.
