Our photosynthetic microorganism system is consist of Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803(cyanobacteria) and Rhodopseudomonas palustris. They are all modified to produce lactate to improve the electrogenic efficiency of Shewanella(S.oneidensis).

Our MFC produces electricity by Shewanella(S.oneidensis) through transfer chemical energy into electric energy. As a result, we design these parts to strengthen the ability of Shewanella(S.oneidensis) to absorb lactate,with an intention to boost the efficiency of electrogenic microorganism system.
