Advancements in the area of genetic modification has opened avenues towards numerous tracks of scientific advancement. Particularly the promise for permanent health solutions has sparked massive interest in gene therapy. Despite potential for an established ideal medicine, there are present challenges facing its development. In particular, the selection of a specific target site, avoiding an immune response, and gene delivery and expression, all pose a threat to gene therapies future as common practice.
