HUMAN PRACTICE
Nanjing-China has always been committed to the research of environmental protection issues. We have also been working hard to connect our achievements with the society.
On April 3, 2018, we came to Nanjing Forestry University and introduced to them the iGEM competition and the projects our team is doing currently to help them establish their own team. However, having missed registration time, it is a pity that Nanjing Forestry University can not participate in the iGEM 2018, but we will keep in touch and fight together on the iGEM stage next year.
On April 5, 2018, we were honored to invite the igemers of Nanjing Agricultural University and China Pharmaceutical University to communicate on project and to discuss the organization of the large-scale exchange conference in the later period. We planned to hold it for the iGEM teams from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai in mid-late May, then the thoughts of distinct teams would collide with each other and they could modify their experimental designs according to the suggestions of teachers. Yet, we regret to miss this activity due to the limited time of preparation.
On April 7, 2018, the Nanjing University Student Career Guidance Center got in contact with us hoping to conduct an interview on our project, which linked our project with employment. In the report professor Wei Wei also offered proposal for the students who are on the point of accessing to scientific research posts according to the content and form of the iGEM competition. It is a great honour that more than 1,500 readers share this content with us, and more than 100 readers think highly of it.
On April 29, we were honored to have invited Pro.Zhang Haoqian and all the igem teams in Nanjing, including the Nanjing Forestry University team that was under construction, to hold an exchange meeting at Nanjing University. The exchange involved experience of igem competition and the project of all teams. In the meeting, each team not only has a deeper understanding of the igem competition, but also improved their experimental designs and experimental methods.
In addition to meeting the requirement of human practice silver, we extended our work of human practice to the biosafty issue in our lab to meet the requirement of humanpractice for gold.
