Simulation

Design

Based on the actual size of the dormitory, we built a simulated room with the KT version and designed a walkway. The operation of the whole experiment is like this. Our experiments are divided into three groups. control group, the chemical group, and the biological group.

Control group

The control group did not add any pharmaceutical agents.

Chemical group

The chemical group was divided into two groups, namely the chalk group and the Bayer acaricide bait group

Biological group

The biological group was placed with the second version of the drug-coated box.

Experiment

We will place 30 sputa in one of the rooms (Room A). The experimental period of each group is 3 days, and the parallel experimental group of each group is 3 groups. The main recorded data are sputum mortality, mobility (in the aisle and B).

The cockroaches of the room are considered to have been migrated.) The purpose of setting up a blank group is to explore what the mobility and normal mortality of cockroaches are without the influence of any medicinal agents, and can provide a reference for our analysis of chemical and biological data.

our experiments

As is shown on the chart, we can analyze that Cockroach killing chalk and BAYER-Premise have a big impact on Migration Rate, they both cause it higher than the Blank Group, while the M.anisopliae emulsifiable powder’s is lower than those three group, this shows that the M.anisopliae emulsifiable powder is more attractive to cockroaches and has less impact on neighbors. From the perspective of mortality, these three groups do not have much difference. But still, the M.anisopliae emulsifiable powder Group has the highest mortality. From the point of view of the rate of Gnawing, in the natural situation, there is a similar behavior that cockroaches gnaw each other, but the M.anisopliae emulsifiable powder can enhance this situation, that means this can increase the probability of fungus spreading between cockroaches.

Based on the above results, our M.anisopliae emulsifiable powder has higher efficiency than other traditional cockroach killing methods. It has a low mobility, a higher gnawing rate, and mortality similar to other drugs. Detailed and more scientific analysis results can be found in our modeling section.
