Description
To achieve our goal, we want to design a L.jensenii with a spermicidal effect which can allow a long term contraception for women. We are focusing on different types of spermidical molecules :
Name | Type of molecule | Origin |
---|---|---|
Nisin | Lantipeptid | Lactococcus lactis |
Lacticin 3147 | Lantipeptid | Lactococcus lactis |
Subtilosin A | Sactipeptid | Bacillus subtilis |
Magainin II | Magainin | Xenopus laevis |
LL37 | Cathelicidin antimicrobial peptid | Homo sapiens |
YLP20 | Antibody | Homo sapiens |
AS16 | Antibody | Homo sapiens |
The chassis
We are going to use two bacterias : Bacillus subtilis and Lactobacillus jensenii, two gram positive bacterias. We choosed B.subtilis because it's a model bacteria for the gram positive. Indeed the finale goal is to modifie L.jensenii.
